About Alejandra Munizaga

Hi, I’m Alejandra. I was born in Chile and raised in countries around the world, from India, Pakistan, and Myanmar to the Caribbean. I grew up near the water - sailing, scuba diving, and running around barefoot. My nomadic upbringing influenced my calling as a designer and passion to create a sense of place and home for myself and others.

I eventually moved to New York City, where I raised my daughter and pursued a career in fine arts and education. I was later awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at The New York School of Interior Design (NYSID). Once I received my degree, I worked in commercial interiors and architecture, obtained my NCIDQ license, and became a faculty member at NYSID, where I continue teaching to this day.

In 2019, I launched Natura Interiors to offer interior design services to vacation homeowners in The East End of Long Island, NY, and beyond. With a highly personalized approach, we treat each project with the utmost attention and commitment, providing a seamless experience. We work diligently to maximize your investment and to create a sanctuary that your family will enjoy for generations.

I currently live in The Hamptons, NY, together with my husband Captain Andy, a private yacht captain. As empty nesters, we are constantly embarking on a new home improvement project or going on adventures with our two lab-mix rescue dogs - Moose and Daisy. On my days off you may find me trail running with the pups, or cooking a new recipe with vegetables from our garden.

  • “From the beginning, Alejandra took the time to understand our preferences and needs, ensuring that every detail aligned with our vision. She transformed our kitchen and bathrooms into spaces that perfectly reflect our tastes and lifestyle. Alejandra's professionalism, design expertise, and seamless project execution make her an outstanding choice for anyone seeking high-quality interior design services.”
